Google Maps and Wikipedia, nothing more

Its just Google Maps on the left, Wikipedia on the right. Cant I do that with my web browser? So the only pictures we get are taken on the outside from a car driving by and the only information we get is from Wikipedia: the most trusted and reliable source of only accurate information on the net right?

This is the most half assed non-attempt at a non-app. If this were truly a world explorer, it would highlight places, not require us to think of something to search for. It would have high quality pictures of the inside, audio tours, maybe panoramic interactive shots of the inside (think Tour Wrist on iOS), accurate official information from more than one source, maybe a travel guide, etc. Theres a long list of things an app with this purpose should have that this is sorely lacking.
